SHUT-IN SPRING: a quarantine diary

a quarantine diary
In the spring of 2020 I had online classes late in the morning that I would frequently attend in bed.
What I learned that semester is anybody's guess.
The first time I would step foot outside those days was normally in the evening just before it got dark,
when I would suddenly realize that sunlight was precious.
In the night my life would finally begin. I drove long distances with my brother. We would drive to the beach in the dead of night, listen to the waves crash against the shore in the dark, maybe get takeout on the way back.
This was time I grew to cherish.
And each day was the same as the last.
