Seven Creative Strategies

Seven Creative Strategies
As an assignment for my Graphic Design class I created 7 images of a useful everyday item using different creative strategies. The item I chose was a hairbrush, and I was inspired to choose this object because my hair was especially unruly that day. I had several ideas of how I could use a hairbrush to create interesting images right away.

Below are my 7 images that are labeled with the creative strategies used and given titles. Beneath each image there is a short description.
To create "Flyaway Hairs" I used a combination of 3 images. Hopefully the birds don't get caught in the brush bristles.
"Hair-Brush" was made with only 2 images and a gradient background. It's a bit disturbing but also interesting.
"Le Pinceau Rouge" means "The Red Brush" in French. This image is a combination of a lot of images arranged to bring attention to the red brush.
I had the idea for "Detangling Water" from the beginning of this project but I couldn't get it to look right until I switched to vectors. After deciding to illustrate it the image finally came together.
"Brush Battle" is an interesting image made of 4 images combined. I hope they aren't bald under their helmets.
"Sing Your Hair Out" is made of 3 images brought together. Who knew brushes made such great microphones?
Last but certainly not least is the "Garden Brush" and this image was made of 6 images. The ladies love this one.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my 7 Creative Strategies. I hope you enjoyed them, and I definitely had a lot of fun making all theses funky images.
