This piece was extremely challenging for me. Although I had painted this on the largest canvas I had ever used, it still made the faces very small and difficult to get precise. I had chosen a difficult piece to create, as The Birth of Venus was no simple feat. I probably went in different parts of this painting and reapplied color far too many times, because I could not seem to get the color matching right. I believe that the end product turned out well, especially with the time frame that I was given to complete it. It is far from perfect, but I believe that it shows the development of my skills well.
