Spock Stencil
Some unknown genius created the image collage above. The original product featuring the cheery kid is unfortunately 100% real. Star Trek's early days were rocky and unstable to put things mildly. In an effort to monetize the show, the producers at Paramount licensed the brand to toymakers who then applied the Star Trek names and characters to existing plastic toys. The outcome was quite hilarious given our knowledge of the show's tone and impact today. In addition to Spock's alarm helmet, there was also a battle tank and several handguns to play with.
The image of Leonard Nimoy as Spock wearing this absurd helmet has never failed to make me laugh. I decided to use it as a design for an airbrush/spraypaint stencil.
