Overview
Jizen Go is a donation app where users can donate their recycle deposit refunds to different charities. It aims to overcome two obstacles that people face when making donations.
Obstacle 1 : Accessibility - many respondents have mentioned that they are not actively seeking charities to donate to. However, when presented with the opportunity to do so, they would donate more likely than not, even if it was a small amount.
Obstacle 2 : Trust - Potential donors have expressed concerns to whether their donations are actually being used properly by the charities.
Solution
The user would simply go to the recycling depots and tally up this or her recyclables as usual. Instead of having the user receiving the deposit refunds in cash, the user would show the QR code on the app and have it scanned by the cashier. Immediately, the recycle refund deposits would be donated away to a good cause. A cause that has previously chosen by the user from a list of suggestions based on the users' responses upon first installing the app. The user can also browse and follow charities to stay up-to-date with how donation funds are being used.
