This design, was incredibly stressful. The client emailed me and wanted the design less than a week later, so this project was started and ended all within five days! So I started off with a very crude drawing from the client that had fake flames and included bright red and yellow as the colors for the logo. I took the very McDonalds-esque color palette, and really toned it down especially with the red.
I wanted to create a simplified logo for use on shirts and packaging designs so I created this typographic logo. This food truck is a grilled cheese truck so I wanted to include some melting aspects into the logo.
I was also tasked with creating the wrap for the actual truck, they wanted a concept design for the truck design so I was sent the photo on the left and sketched over it leading to the result on the right. I wanted it to include something really silly, so I thought the silliest thing would be to add those really weird flames that people add to cars to make them look faster, and to keep the design within the whole grilled cheese idea, I changed the flames to melted cheese.
I love making t-shirt designs so, even though I wasn't asked, I made two different shirt designs one with the full logo and one with the typographical logo.
