For this project I had designed a visitor guide, book cover, and spine for the Tourism Board of San José, Costa Rica. The purpose was to create a city guide book that will be available through out the city in locations such as airports, visitor centers, hotels, and restaurants. The main purpose is to attract people to visit San José.

The Tourism Board is trying to reach people who would want to come and enjoy San José, a city that has world-class museums, parks, hotels, theaters, and historic buildings. San José is a city where visitors can visit “a metropolis full of interesting places, faces, and colors reflection the history of a population.”

The artwork is an original illustration of Santana Row. Santana Row is a recognized landmark in San José that is  premier commercial and entertainment plaza. This illustration is Santana Row at night because it has an inviting ambiance with the streetlights and neon signs. The final product for the lights; lighter colors of the buildings were used with a blur effect.
