Burton Bands Medical Animation
Burton Bands were developed by a dentist to facilitate the process of applying filler to cavities located on the side of the tooth. Two types of devices were developed: an anterior and a posterior. This project involved creating animations for each device.
The client provided CAD files of the devices which imported into Maya.

For the animations, a decision was made to render the devices in color, while leaving the teeth and gums in grayscale. This was done to really draw the viewer's focus to the devices. However, after the project was completed, I also rendered out several of the animation frames in full color, well, just because I thought they looked cool in color!
