My client was the main tourism board of any major city, and I needed to design a promotional poster and matching travel guide for the area. I chose Travel Juneau, formerly the Juneau Convention & Visitors Bureau. The audience would be primarily upper-middle class families and couples with high-stress jobs that are looking for an exciting getaway. People interested in cruises are also a huge target of this campaign. The message that I wanted to convey is one of excitement, nature, and fresh air. The purpose of these designs is to draw in more tourism and increase spending and stay durations among tourists. Tourism is Juneau's main source of income, so Travel Juneau works to maintain steady income for the city and local businesses year round.
