Small Object Project
This Project was surrounded by the idea of repetition. So I chose two self care bottles that were small so it would be easy to make the mold and I would have enough time to perfect the mold and color it.
With the molding process I used hundred percent clear silicone, put it some cold water and some Dawn dish soap, moved it around in the soapy water, took it out, and then started forming it in a ball shape and then adding it on top of the bottles, which had Vaseline so the silicone wouldn't stick to the bottle after it dried.
After the mold cast dried I took it off the bottles and dried it off a little more with a towel so I can begin adding the molding material.
I used plater to make the actual mold of the bottles, my first mold wasn't the best only because I made too much plaster and it got hard. I then made less and made the three final ones I was going to paint. With the paint it has a significant meaning to it, the green represents depression and the pink doesn't have a meaning but it shows that the lower class class people and high class people are different and one may be on top of the system. Something I would change would have to be the pink color to a different color that has significance. I would wear a mask because the silicone doesn't smell that great and I would have made better molds so there wasn't any bumps on the molds.
