Camera Armature Project
Doing this took some time and staying up late, there are so many little details that took precision and patience. I first did the wire layout and then made balls of tin foil and put it in the space of the wiring. I failed and forgot to take pictures of the inside but I cut the clay to try to show the inside.
I flattened the clay with a rolling pin and placed it on top of the tin foil/wire lay out. I did not add enough tin foil and the wire layout was not even so it added character. Once I finished the adding the flat clay I started working on the details.
I added the circle part of the lens on and then the cylinder on top of that. Made a hole in the cylinder to place the eye in it. I finished the detail of the eye and placed it in and worked on the vines. The vines I rolled out with my hands and put the long strands all over the camera and cut up some long strands and placed them in a group of two switching back and fourth on the side of the vines placing the "leaves."
I also added detail on the strap of the camera by using a toothpick. They are daisies because that's my favorite flower. I made this armature because I do photography and thought it would be cool to make my camera like me and what I take pictures off, like it's soaking up the knowledge of my photos and me
If I could change the process to make this better I would add more detail to the eye to make it more realistic. Make a hole in the main clay body so the lens body can stay in place. Lastly, add color to make it stand out even more than it already is. I did in fact changed it during the process by making it go on its side rather than it be upside down. and didn't add wire in the middle of the wire layout. Maybe add more tinfoil so I didn't have to add more clay to make it presentable.
