These four serving trays were created from a piece of black walnut found at the local antique store that is approx 84 inches long. It was sanded down for a few hours to 220 grit, cut, then wet sanded to bring the grain out and make it water-resistant. The cracks were filled with epoxy resin to seal the pieces. They were finished off with four coats of mineral oil and ten coats of beeswax to a hand-polished finish. The boards are food safe and can be used to serve food or be used as cutting boards.
