Writing Part 1: 

    The function of this prototype is simple yet effective. My design is a pair of headphones that allows you to listen to other peoples conversations. These targeted conversations can listened in on from a close or far distance, having a range of 3-1,000 ft. Most importantly, it keeps your appearance undetectable and your identity a secret. Intended mostly for undercover spy work, it is efficient yet simple in its design. It functions when the user points the antenna towards the desired conversation to be listened in on. The antenna is able to detect the sound waves of the conversation and play it in the headphones the user is wearing. It also has a recording feature. The design efficiency comes into play considering not only will the individual be undetectable  because they appear far away, they will be even less of a suspect as they appear in their own world as an average headphone user does. 

Writing Part 2- 

    My prototype will provide a sensation of secrecy and justice. This device will only be used for good, stopping crime from happening and putting halts to all other illegal activity. What appears to be a normal pair of headphones uses sound waves and high tech research to detect other peoples conversations up to 1,000 ft away. The headphones themselves are even shaped and colored to resemble a normal store-bought pair. The flower incorporated into the antenna provides a sense of humor and aesthetic among the design. However, it also adds to the secrecy sensation as it covers up the antenna to make it less obvious, in a more obvious way. The flower draws attention to itself which will take attention off of the antenna. With the structure being plain and the flower being so vibrant, this contrast works well and draws attention.  The headphones are completely sound-proof to ensure confidentiality and allow the device to be more effective as a whole. There is also an app that goes along with this device to automatically ensure all the conversations detected are saved to a file for evidence. This quality of the prototype is important as it allows for hard evidence to be created and saved for future use in a case or in trial.
