Anycubic i3 Mega high temperature enclosure

Anycubic i3 Mega high temperature enclosure
3D printer enclosure is an upgrade that's build for:
- noise reduction,
- increasing ambient temperature in printing zone which is usefull for printing ABS and other high-temp materials,
- keeping 3D printer clean,
- installing light over the printer,
- making the machine look like a piece of furniture.

All of these features are easily achievable with simple cupboard, but high temperature inside the enclosure can overheat printers' electronics. That's why it's important to separate power supply and electronics from printing zone to extend their lifespan.

This project involved moving all of the 3D printer control electronics outside the enclosure, which required measuring and 3D modelling power supply, every PCB, touchscreen and designing 3D printable cases for them. There were also MOSFET transistors added for safety and dedicated power supply with switch for LED strips. Integrated light helps to supervise the printing process in a dark room.

All cables go from the top part of the enclosure through a hole, cable tray inside and end up in socket box, where all cables from 3D printer are plugged.

The door is locked with magnets - one attached to the enclosure and one on the door handle.
Moving all electronics so far away from the printers' base required extending almost every single cable that was inside and rewiring everything.
