Christmas Campaign

Given that South African's experience the festive season of Christmas during mid Summer, we decided to a non-traditionalist Christmas approach and inspire a festive season with lighter and brighter look and feel.​​​​​​​
TVC Campaign

The Christmas TVC concept followed the brand positioning for the year that you don't need to comprise on price and quality you can have both. We took on the grueling task of combining premium product offering with product and price all while being sung as a Christmas Crooner-style song. We had to cover 8 Christmas themed spots that focus on a particular product such as Toys, Prosecco, Gammon, Appliances, Leg of Lamb and so on.

The art direction style involved keeping the background colourful and bright to follow the over arching campaign, and grading light and warm. Each scene starts off with a top view of a star-like shape that moves into the Christmas 'world' of Christmas, followed by slow-motion close-ups that capture that quality and features of the products. 

In-store Point of Sale 

Every store is highly decorated during the festive season with point of sale elements such as bunting, banners, hanging mobiles and posters. This carries the Christmas campaign from TVC and press into the store environment to highlight products and bring festivity in store.
Press

Over the Christmas period, Checkers runs an extensive hardsell press campaign that spans from the end of November until Christmas. Relevant messaging needs to be provided for every week of the campaign as well as facilitate the recent of launch of the loyalty program and an exciting in-store competition.
