Description
The Starry Night is an oil-on-canvas painting by the Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent Van Gogh. Vincent painted The Starry Night while he was a patient in a mental asylum. Painted in June 1889, it depicts the view from the east-facing window of his asylum room at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. This animation is inspired by this famous painting which emphasizes the swirling composition of the sky and the melancholic blue color palette which have caused the artwork to become one of the most recognizable paintings of all time.
