Nexus is a literary arts magazine featuring student artwork, poetry, and short stories. The book contains experimental type throughout the pages.
Task: Redesign the JMU creative magazine, NEXUS. Present the information in a logical, unified and visually appealing manner and to design the book in an appropriate manner in relation to the content.
Challenge: Design a minimum 20 page booklet and a quick typographic logo/masthead for the title, NEXUS. The masthead design will be carried throughout the book in section titles.
Design insights: Developed a multi-functioning logo that works for all titles. Used a grid for the spreads that helped to visualize the essence of NEXUS.
