Illustrations for a russian edition of 'The Nowhere Emporium' by Ross MacKenzie.
Published in 2020 in Ripol Classic Publishing House.
It's a fascinating children story about young orphan boy Daniel who suddenly discovers a magical emporium no one can see except him. An owner of the emporium, Mr.Silver, is a gloomy man with an interesting ability to perform his marvelous ideas into life. Daniel becomes an apprentice of Mr. Silver and founds out many misteries of the Nowhere Emporuim, its inhabitants and Silver's past.
Illustrations had to be in black and white in amount of five. I decided to show the emporium at different times and in different places and make it look like memorable postcards with handwritten captions on them.
I also drew main characters for the book title page and I really like them!
All illustrations were made in Procreate just in a few layers, above scanned original sketch.
