Treebranch

The logo displayed above was created for the company Treebranch. The clients requested that logo display imagery that was minimalistic, light and happy whose lettering is in capital letters. In this design, the key components desired by the group are utilized such as the lettering. We can see that the lettering that is included in the logo is sans serif and is in all capital letters. The acorn coming off the branch is meant to be how a tree branch can lead to new life. The acorn, if planted and well kept, will have a beneficial effect on the world. This concept coincides with the mission statement provided by the team.
The images shown above represent the possible utilizations of the logo designed for this group. These mock-ups were created using the smartmockups generator. As we can see the logo can be displayed on clothing as well as on home decor.
Above are the sketches and the design process I undertook to create this logo in illustrator. You are able to see the flow of the ideas and how they all came together at the end.
Colored Versions
Monochromatic: In this version of coloring, I attempted to connect the name of Treebranch with the earthiness the name implies. I utilized earth tones in order to emphasize this connection. Brown also represents dependability and reliability, two characteristics important to any company.

Triadic: In this version, I used the color brown to again connect it with earth tones. The green was utilized to represent nature, growth and freshness. The Blue in the logo and stem was used to show dependability and stability. Due to the stem being the portion that causes the nut to fall, the blue hue of it represents these characteristics well.

Analogous: In this version, I used different shades of blue in order to convey the idea of dependability and stability. The green provides, again, this idea of freshness and growth.

Complementary: In this version, I utilized green, red and teal. The green to represent growth and nature, the red to strength and power the company has. The teal is used to represent clarity of thought.
