SOCIAL PASTICHE
What I found most inspiring about Russian Suprematism was the philosophy behind the bold colors, compositions, and forms: simply, it is the belief that in art, color, line, and shape are more important than subject matter or narratives.
Suprematism was the first art movement to use pure geometric abstractions, so I wanted shapes to be front-and-center in my composition. The text in the composition is bold, but it is not meant to be the only thing in the poster that makes a statement.
