“Aedo” is a graphic work based on William Morris’s patterns and the ancient Greek storyteller in charge of transmitting, and preserving, culture via stories that filtered reality with myth. Morris’s intent travels also within the myth as he pursues, through natural patterns, a new harmony between the ‘unnatural’ Industrial Revolution society and Mother Nature, which would allow to regain the Arcadia age, i.e. the ancient Greek paradise where human being lived in harmony with its environment. By making those patterns part of contemporary digital aesthetic, “Aedo” becomes storyteller of our time which sees the emergence of the hybrid nature, halfway digital and halfway ‘real’.
