Negosyong Pilipino, Negosyong Laging Nagpapatuloy: A Learning Event on MSME Resilience Amidst Various Crisis

This webinar tackled risk assessment, impact analysis, continuity strategies, and public-private partnerships' role in strengthening MSME business recovery during COVID-19 and creating business continuity roadmaps.

Aside from its impact on public health, #COVID19 has severely affected the economy. Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which are often less equipped compared to big businesses, are particularly vulnerable. From April to May 2020, 70.6% of MSMEs in the Philippines temporarily shut down due to the pandemic, according to an Asian Development Bank study. MSMEs need to adapt and adjust their operations to stay afloat.

This learning session, in partnership with USAID, Caritas Pasig, CSA Diocese of Malolos, the PDRF and co-organized with CRS Philippines.

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have been among the most dramatically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as the damage to the global supply chains has led to disruption in business operations and, sometimes, complete stoppage.

This webinar on “Pandemic-Adaptive and Resilient MSME supply chains” aims to provide insights into how MSMEs can make their supply chains and business operations more sustainably secure against different hazards.

This learning event is led by the PDRF as part of the Asian Preparedness Partnership (APP) through the Philippine Preparedness Partnership (PhilPrep).
With the support of the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, APP PhilPrep is the localized tripartite platform represented by the key societal actors from the government (Office of Civil Defense), the private sector (PDRF), and the civil society (Center for Disaster Preparedness).

in the New Normal
(Oct 27, 2020 | 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm | Promoted via SIKAP Platform, iADAPT Platform, FB Live, Zoom and Youtube)

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated digitalization in every field of the economy and society. Both the business and education sectors have had to adapt and innovate by moving their operations online. Essential transactions such as selling and marketing goods and services, coordinating with customers and business partners, and communicating with employees are now being done electronically.

Online learning is quickly becoming the norm as the education sector has had to adapt to the new normal, exploring innovative ways of training and development while maintaining the quality of information being delivered. But digital transformation has not come easy.

The webinar, “The Digital Shift: Adapting to business and education challenges in the New Normal”, will provide MSMEs and educators with much-needed guidance on pivoting their operations to digital models that will be sustainable beyond the pandemic.
