Triptychs
Triptych inspired by Luke Gram
Artist Statement:
The first triptych was inspired by Luke Gram who uses double exposer in his photography. He uses people and creates a nature background behind them. I chose to use the same concept with using a person but different inspiration. In this triptych I wanted to express how every stage of life has an inner meaning or feeling. As adults you wish to go back into your childhood and play all day and have no stress or worries. As teenagers you dream of when you get to be an adult on your own and create your own adventures. And as kids you can't wait to be a teenager and get to be a "big kid" and have freedom and be treated as a big kid. The city represents where adults spend most of their time working in the tall buildings, the skate park is to represent teenagers and where they go to have fun with friends and feel free, while the park represents where a child goes to play and express their imagination. Choosing to explore double exposure and how it can create a better image within. The second triptych is my own creation where I chose to show the elements in a certain kind of nature. The water represents how easy and accessible we have water but it being a key factor to how we survive. The fire represents warmth but how fragile things are and a small spark can create a bigger flame. The light represents an element that we as people use being sight it's easy to obtain but can be taken granted for at times. It can be taken as a new form of elements captured in everyday life.
Strength and weaknesses/ reflection:
My strengths were able to come up with the triptychs and created a narrative story through my photos. My weaknesses were the photoshop in the triptych in the first one. It was the first one experimenting with double exposure. I believe that it taught me how to edit and create my photos. I went out of my comfort zone and experimenting with a different approach to my shots then a different approach to the way I compose them together. I believe it was a very successful project. There are a few editing imperfection which can be learned from but overall for my first time it went great.

Inspiration
Explanation:
They connect to each other by subject matter by the plants. The leaves and color connect to each other. The cold tones with the dark blues and blacks with white backgrounds relate to each other. The main subject is the color change in the middle with the bright red flower but everything else is the same focus and placement.
They connect to each other in the way of the same persons shadow. The scenery changes in each photo but has the same feeling and tone through out all 3 photos. The first two photos have cool tones while the third one has brighter colors with orange and yellows.
These connect by having the same position of the man as the same composition and editing. The things that change are how each image is edited with manipulation of each photo.
These tell a story within. It captured the water moving and while its simple it still tells a story. The editing is the same with color composition and setting. Each photo is a different stage of it.
The composition and tone are the same. The editing is different and used to create each photo a different way with the same subject
The colors, setting, and tone are the same the objects are similar but are different at the same time. Each side has a different style cup but are both cups and the leaves bring in a different color and texture.
