Cutlery should not just be a tool from plate to mouth

Domaine de Boisbuchet 2019 Summer Workshop - Sensual Dining
Designer · YI HSIN LEE
Instructor · Mikaela Dörfel / Andreas Fabian

Kissing is more than just for lips. I believe that kiss is a beautiful and intimate connection.
The cutlery is not just for transferring food from plate to mouth, “ THE KISS “ tends to strengthen the relationship between food and dinners.

Users will taste the food and kiss the lips at the same time which is close and sensual, every bite will guide the relationship toward a deeper connection.

The design of the lips can avoid the cutlery touches the table directly, which provides users with both practical and aesthetic values. The design allows people to experience the perception of changes in eating and create a more sensual dining experience than usual.
Workshop - Sensual dining

The aim of the workshop is to raise awareness and explore the relationship between tableware and our perception of food and flavor to create a more sensual dining experience than usual. It explores the multi sensorial aspects of eating vessels and utensils beyond cultural boundaries.
