People have been using Shazam to identify new music for years. However, you can also Shazam a TV show and get a result that gives you loads of relevant content pertaining to the show, like information about the cast, exclusive deals, recaps, and ways to purchase music from the show. Shazam supports so many TV shows that being able to provide a unique experience for each tag became troublesome, so we set out to categorize the different kinds of TV shows and create a specific design template for each. I was responsible for designing the template for Competition shows (like American Idol, The Voice, X-Factor, etc...).
