Fine dust : Group 1 carcinogen
Fine dust is a type 1 carcinogen set by the WHO. The issue of fine dust is now emerging in Korea. Under these circumstances, the most vulnerable to fine dust are the elderly and children. In particular, the infant population is more likely to be exposed to fine dust because they cannot cope with it on their own. Therefore, I designed an air purifier that filters out fine dust through rattle toys that infants want to access.
UX Insight
Infant don't have self-determination or ability to solve particular situation. Therefore, they are hard to judge for protection or prevention of themselves. In this case, we should cause them to make such judgments naturally. Therefore, I designed 'Airattle' to protect them by own themselves. The design, motivated in the shape of a rattle, will draw interest of the infant because they want to play with them. A bendable joint structure allows the user to make various positions. It can be used in many ways, such as Place on the desk, hanging in baby carriage, set in baby bed, etc.
