I was tasked to create a poster expressing how a specific brand, in this case, Marimekko, would endorse a ‘Wear a Mask’ brand messaging. Marimekko is a fashion retail that produces clothes that are largely based on patterns and graphics.
The poster on the left depicts patterned masks layering on top of one another to create this filter that prevents the virus particles from the viewer. All patterns above are derived from Marimekko's designs.
The poster below was inspired by a Marimekko floral pattern. I wanted the type to lie seamlessly with the pattern as if they were one. Hence I illustrated the type to look like the flowers. As it was type driven poster,
it was not suitable to be used as the brand is graphics driven.
