Broadsides, a popular style of posters between the 16th and 19th centuries, often utilized multiple fonts at different sizes to convey important information. Using this type of advertisement, I wanted to convey important facts and information pertinent to the cause #BLACKLIVESMATTER. As there are many crucial statistics that get buried in discourse, I chose a few to highlight in my broadsides.

For my header type, and other call-out information, I used the font Cornerstone. This is the typeface used by #BLACKLIVESMATTER on their branding and website. It uses all caps, and is described by its' creator Zac Freeland as a "no-nonsense modular font." Noto Sans is a font that covers all encoded scripts in Unicode Standard. It has a variety of weights and includes nearly all symbols. It is easy to read online as it is printed. As Broadsides were originally print pieces, it was important to have this clarity in real life. However, it is essential to be legible online, as these designs would be seen most in a web magazine.
