Mixed Media Torso
Originally this drawing was a simple observational drawing done with charcoal. However when the picture was uploaded to my computer and placed in photoshop, I discovered I could expand on the picture. I chose to make the background pink to challenge gender norms. By having a light pink (Feminine) background against a male torso, challenges the perception of gender and the constructs that surround us.
The original torso was done over the span of two weeks, with medium vine charcoal and drawing paper.
