I was fortunate enough to work with the most creative and diligent editors I've ever known to produce some of the best original and humorous viral posts online for Maxim.com. We would come up with a funny concept and I was the go-to guy to make it visually come to life. If there was a visual pun I could throw in, I would add it—making it a real team effort.
Several of these graphics, when coupled with the right introductory copy and additional intro graphics, garnered 75,000 hits or more in their first day debuting on Maxim.com. We made the front page of Digg.com numerous times, back when Digg was the definitive site for the best posts on the web and that was truly an accomplishment. Eventually, I even came up with post ideas myself, which later led to my work at Playboy's TheSmokingJacket.com.
