This graphic design project features the classic renaissance painting into a modern magazine cover. The painting is known as the girl with the pearl earring by Johannes Vermeer, it is very well known and a beautiful art piece. The piece was critiqued, because as appeared the pearl earring looks more like metal. The iconic painting lacked color. I decided to make it modern. Putting the woman's face on a model to make it 20th century as well as brighten the colors were in my opinion a wonderful addition. This maximize cover is posing as a mockup advertisement for Vogue, a well-known fashion company. The girl with the pearl earring is showing her new modern ways to style a jean jacket, as well as sharing some tips.
