Concept Art - Cult Activity 

This is concept art of a story I was developing of a world where the Earth rapidly deteriorates and mutates to a deserted hellish wasteland when the 1969 Moon landing occurs.

Home Sweet Home

This illustration was created digitally using Clip Studio Paint Pro. This cluttered, dingy room is the home base and refuge of the main characters as they fight for their lives against the monsters they call neighbors. The space shows the determination of the characters as they try to do whatever they can to extend their lives and solve the mystery of what happened to their home. The space also reflects the setting the story takes place in, 1960’s Morocco and how they use their environment to their advantage.

Home Sweet Home - Closer Look

This illustration was created digitally using Clip Studio Paint Pro. This is a closer look into one of the corners of the home base of the main characters. This is the space where they keep the bones and feathers of the mutant creatures they call neighbors. This is their holding space while they figure out how they want to utilize them to help them survive. Some of the options are to create weapons to help them fight off the creatures, find food, and survive the harsh landscape. They sometimes use the feathers to mask their smell and avoid the large ground creatures that prowl around. This corner also shows that even in an apocalyptic situation, you still need a place to dry your socks.

Dangerous Ascent 

This illustration was created digitally using Clip Studio Paint Pro. The composition creates a sense of depth and atmosphere that increases the feeling of desperation on the figure as they attempt to reach their goal. The rapidly approaching birds add to the impending doom the character already feels and the terror is clearly written all over their face.

Karim Turnaround 

This illustration was created digitally using Clip Studio Paint Pro. This is one of the main characters named Karim, he is a mathematician and astrophysicist and does Zoology on the side. He is one of the first people the main character Dawn meets when she lands in Al Hoceima, Morocco. He is very laid back and is one of the only people in the area that is aware that the situation on Earth is more weird than it seems. He thinks Dawn is kinda reckless and stupid, but admires her spirit and becomes a father figure to her.

Mutant Creature Turnaround

This illustration was created digitally using Clip Studio Paint Pro. This is one of the creatures that appeared when the world went to hell and did not mutat from an existing animal. It prowls around on the ground and on the buildings of the city the main characters are hiding in. They are close to blind despite their 8 eyes so they use an advanced sense of smell and a form of echolocation to find their victims. Their long “ears” sense the vibrations and help the creature track its prey. Its sandy coloring helps it blend into the natural landscape despite its size and its large arms and powerful back legs help its leap and scale up buildings. Its front arms are also used to pummel its prey to be eaten because of its lack of front claws or opposable thumbs.

Mutant Bird illustrations

This illustration was created digitally using Clip Studio Paint Pro. There are some creatures that mutated with the land during the unknown block of time when the world went to hell. They grew to become giant versions of themselves and developed extra limbs to aid in hunting food and their senses sharpened to combat the harsh landscape. They have become the equivalent of their dinosaur ancestors.
