For my modernize a renaissance painting, I chose this portrait painting to work with. Immediately, I had the idea to turn her painting into a Vogue magazine cover. I decided to add modern features to her. I added two tattoos, one on her hand and one on her wrist. I also added gold modern jewelry as she is wearing a ring and necklace. I decided I wanted to turn her natural face into a glam makeup look to match the photoshoot inspiration. So, I decided to add a bold red lip and black winged eyeliner to turn her into a young women living in this year of 2021.
