This was an end of year project for my final year at university.

Based around the theme of EGO, this magazine attempts to portray the idea of extravagance and over consumption as a fuel for increasing obsessions with image and ego. Its aim is to appeal to these types of consumers, with the intention to educate and incite refelection.

Under the guise of a high fashion, the magazine comes wrapped up it hand screenprinted acrylic gold on tissue paper, with a Louis Voitton sick bag (a nod to the consumerist malady). It contains quotes, fashion shoots and three core articles highlighting the problem, effect and solution to overindulgent consumerism. Throughout the magazine a models makeup routine is photgraphed, starting with a relatively natural look which then progresses to an absurd amount of make up being adopted. This progression from natural to over indulgent is reflected in the design of the entire magazine as the typography becomes more irratic, the model's make up session draws to an ugly close, and the adverts become literal showing models lying next to bags of gold vomit.

Silkscreen and laser printed onto matt A3 paper.
