Using a Silk Moth and I as reference, I have tried to express my spiritual growth, which overall looks like a pretty picture, but upon a closer look, in the details one can see the tough situations like that of a storm, rain, fire, drought (on the skin). These represent the various state of minds- sadness, hopelessness, hardships, scarcity, fogginess, indeciveness, unstability, restlessness etc.
Nevertheless a sense of hope depicted through a determined focus on shining light by the silk moth and me. Finally reaching the scenic clouds and blissful galaxies, to depict the final state of growth, happiness, contentment, vision and intuition, one step closer to the divine.
A very subtle and indirect connection has been made between both these paintings. The hair is secured by a silky cloth, a hint to one of the bi-products of metamorphosis of the silk moth.
