I had an idea.
Part of a college project was to create a booklet for the view of the city surrounding me. I grew up in Elefsina, a suburb of Athens, a small city with a lot of space to play and explore. Later, I moved to the city of Athens, which was a shock to me. I wasn't used to the fast pace of the city life.
While walking in the city during the quarantine, I noticed the bigarade trees living on the sidewalks. They were full of fruits, ready to leave the trees and aim for ground. The irony is that there was concrete beneath the trees.
At this point, I realised that fruits are like ideas. The grow on the tree (mind) and when they are mature enough, they become free. If the ground is fertile, more ideas can grow.
Unfortunately in the big cities, the environment is not so fertile. Ideas crash on concrete and passers-by step on them.
So, I decided to create a booklet which showcases the downfall of ideas in the big city. The cover is the definition of the word "idea". Inside, I tried to give the feeling of descent, with frames of a fruit falling to the ground. This booklet can also work as a flip book.
