Plastic Does Not Belong in 2021

For this project, we had to create an infographic about bottled water consumption in America. Our client is Mother Jones, whose mission is delivering information to people and invite them to change, and our audience is the American public. I decided to focus on the effects that plastic bottles have on the environment and the economy of normal families.

I used two fonts: Avenir Next for the headline, subheadline, and call to action; and Arial for the rest of the text in my design. I also used a color palette so that everything would go well together. I decided to use the vibrant colors for the most important pieces of information.

I had to make multiple changes based on the feedback I received from user testing, my teacher, and classmates. I am grateful for their thoughts because it helped me make the appropriate changes to make the message of my infographic be better understood.
