SALAPAO DIFFUSER  I ซาลาเปา
Phase 1: Research and Design

Salapao is a playful redesign of an ultrasonic diffuser that mimics the form of steamed buns, a beloved snack commonly found in Asian cuisines.
The name Salapao, is a Thai word that derived from the Chinese origin, "Siopao", which translates to "hot bun"
RESEARCH AND DESIGN PROCESS
This project explores innovative forms for the diffuser through research, sketches, and 3D modeling.
Mood Board
A collection of form inspiration for design.
Taking Apart An Existing Model
I took apart an existing diffuser and studied its interior parts to gain a better understanding of how the model works.
Sketches
Preliminary concepts and ideas.
How it Works
Users fill the bottom of the diffuser with plain water and drops of essential oils. When turned on and fully charged, the diffuser releases fine mist of water and essential oils through the top.
SALAPAO PLAYGROUND
Phase 2 : Creating a space for the product that assists its visualisation and aesthetics
The Salapao Diffuser in pastels are presented in a playful set design, reflecting the product's whimsical mood and tone. The goal of this set design is to bring color, space, and playfulness to the scene.
