La Maison of Paradisaic Sight
"Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose" is definitely the painting that made me fall in love with John Singer Sargent.
His luminous work with perfect pitch of colors, stroke, and understanding of light is the one that inspired me to improve my drawing skill.
I made a study piece inspired by John Singer's painting and combine it with concept from album I kept on waiting to release, "La Maison" from LOONA.
The title, "La Maison of Paradisaic Sight"
is captured from Sargent's story when he encountered Chinese lanterns hanging among trees and lilies that he called it "a most paradisaic sight'.
I illustrated two girls member of LOONA from their album concept photos, Chuu and Gowon.
I mixed the lighting with Chuu's representative color, peach and dark muted tosca color from Gowon's representative color.
