Ben Kendall's profile

eCommerce / Ebay

My work on Macbooks was one of the main incentives for my recent prolific use of eCommerce, namely eBay. Since mid 2020 I've been developing my skills and service on the site, recently making another dedicated setup for taking photographs of items, and at the time of writing have 81 items currently active.

My relationship with eCommerce began back when I began collecting old military items and tech, and as I've moved forwards I've constantly strived to provide excellent customer service, outstanding care and attention, and a professional profile. At first I would take a few pictures, write a short description and then pop the items in a box and take them to the post office. Now, I thoroughly clean and inspect items, photograph them against a well-lit backdrop and adjust the photos, before writing a detailed, reassuring description and item specifics. I now sanitise each item before packaging them thoroughly so that they are secure, watertight and well-protected and send each item fully insured with suitable couriers.
You can see my most recent feedback here (with sensitive data censored), as well as an item I recently packaged and sent off and a snapshot from a recent bulk-listing of surplus Macbook parts. Determined to reduce e-waste, I've not disposed of any parts and most have been sold on shortly after their removal from devices. This rarely nets much profit, though I've been told it's been of great help to both repair shops and people repairing their own devices for the first time.

I always strive to maintain a professional, respectful presence on eCommerce sites, and it's been mentioned favourably by eBay's customer support staff as well as couriers and customers. As of current I'm elegible for 'Top Rated Seller' status, but have declined it as I don't intend on forming a business from this.
