Natural History Museum of LA

The Natural History Museum is amongst the most diverse organizations with one of the richest collections and continuous active research. The logo represents the moving parts of the institution that make it whole. A collaborative that combines community, research, and development. A culture of knowledge that is accessible to visitors from all around the world.
Instituting a sculpture as an ode to nature and community, would complement the public space. The interactive sculpture, made of repurposed materials, a living place for honeysuckle, a California native vine used by indigenous Pomo people. A living installment that matures along with its environment and a site for play and relaxing.
The reimagined identity derives from a place of playfulness. The mobility and rearrangment of the pieces evokes curiosty all the while maintaining its cohesiveness.
