This signage redesign of the North Greenwich tube station in London is an academic project that seeks to improve the current design in readability and sustainability.
New signs would be built with sustainable materials such as recycled aluminium, steel and ecological screen printing, avoiding any use of plastics in the process. To improve readability the background has been changed to dark blue and text on white; signs with dark background and light color text are more legible under low lighting conditions.
