I've never been to Alexandria, but I know many songs about this city. One is by Fairuz, an iconic Lebanese singer, and the other is by Dalida, a tragic Egyptian diva. The poster imagines a city on the sandy shore of the Mediterranean sea, constructed by linking Alexandria and Beirut through the superficial and subjective connections of pop songs. The colored lettering spells the word Alexandria in Arabic.
