Designing with Letters/Glyphs
This is a project that we show our understanding of letters. This time, we searched and learned about sans-serif and serif through creating unique designs. I created San-serif and Serif glyphs to enhance the knowledge and my ability to design skills.
Design: Sans-serif
Font: Neue Haas Grotesk Bold
This composition includes the heavy lines from up to down, but the design's weight becomes lighter as you go down because of the asymmetry balance. The "i" represents water drop, which can be a focal point to make a smooth flow in design.
Design: Serif
Font: Stempel Garamond Roman
This composition focuses on scale contrast that creates emphasis on design. It helps make visual hierarchy to draw a viewer's attention. The "9" represents Moon, and other letters create a peaceful atmosphere in design.
