Menu Design for The Newt in Somerset

The Newt in Somerset is one of the most exceptional country house hotels Britain has ever seen. It was in the making for six years and it has been a joy for Ice House Design to be part of the exquisite project. Here we show some examples of a few menus we made.
Somerset has a long tradition of cultivating wonderful produce. Food at The Newt is driven by provenance and seasonality. Plates created by the hugely talented Head Chef, Ben Abercombie, feature something from the estate and gardens, whether grown, foraged, distilled or baked. Anything not produce on the estate is sourced from the best local suppliers.

Ice House Design worked with the chef, MD and marketing team two create a series of menus for the three restaurants in the hotel and the grounds of the estate. With an almost obsessive view of produce being in season and grown on site or at least sourced very locally, our menu design had to capture this essence. The infographic and animation (above) we designed an made to better illustrate this.
