Heron Gate I
Ten Students were assigned to work on the land of Heron Gate, shown in map on the right. The team was tasked to create a community master plan for the area and decide on the role of each block based on traffic flow, existing city fabric, and land use studies. The plan further breaks down into five blocks with two students working on each to create a block master plan in cohesion with community master plan’s designated general layout.
East-West Green path allows connection on foot between blocks by replace existing driveway on northside of the block with pedestrian only pathway. Two gathering spaces located at front of for both northside building. Set back at south west corner creates a missing fabric,  marks the beginning of Heron Gate community and invite pedestrian to both. North-South Passage allows more flexible of traffic flow and a break between continuous city fabric.
