More than a designer, at my core I am an illustrator. I started illustrating digitally using only vectors, and my transition to pixels started with WeTransfer's Paper App for iPad. It is not a professional app since it does not have layers or masks, but I used it for some years because I thought I would never understand how to use Photoshop well. Little by little I got familiar with textures on Adobe Fresco and Procreate, exploring their brushes and different techniques for digital illustration, which completely changed the way I work. Although I still do not consider it “digital art,” it is part of my process and growth, and for me it is a great milestone in my career.
Let me share with you my journey through textures, without losing my characters, colors and style.
