1960s Pyschedelic Posters

I prepared this project to introduce and commemorate prominent intellectuals of Azerbaijan in the various fields. I used psychedelic motifs of the 1960s in my design. My main motivation and thought process was based upon using these motifs and elements to highlight the creative aspects of these individuals. You can get information about the person by scanning the QR code on each poster. The QR code will redirect you to Wikipedia.
Muslim Magometovich Magomayev (Azerbaijani: Müslüm Məhəmməd oğlu Maqomayev, 17 August 1942 – 25 October 2008) was a Soviet, Azerbaijani and Russiann opera and pop singer. He achieved iconic status in Russia and the post-Soviet countries for his vocal talent and charisma.
Vagif Mustafazadeh (Azerbaijani: Vaqif Mustafazadə; March 16, 1940 – December 16, 1979) was an Azerbaijani jazz pianist and composer, acclaimed for fusing jazz and the traditional Azerbaijani folk music known as mugham. According to many world famous jazz musicians, Mustafazadeh is one of the pioneers and "the architect of jazz in Azerbaijan".
Jalal Maharram oglu Garyaghdi (Azerbaijani: Cəlal Məhərrəm oğlu Qaryağdı; 2 June 1914, Shusha, Elisabethpol Governorate, Russian Empire – June 2001 Baku, Azerbaijan) was an Azerbaijani monumentalist sculptor and People's Artist of Azerbaijan (1960). He was one of the pioneer monumentalist sculptors of Azerbaijan along with Fuad Abdurahmanov.
Hasan Agamammad oglu Mammadov (22 November 1938 – 26 August 2003) was a theater and cinema actor of Azerbaijan, People's Artist of Azerbaijan (1982) received USSR and Azerbaijan State Awards.
Khalil Rza Uluturk (Azerbaijani: Xəlil Rza Ulutürk, 21 October 1932, Salyan – 22 June 1994, Baku) was an Azerbaijani poet. In 1992, Khalil Rza was awarded the title of People's Poet of Azerbaijan and in 1995, he was posthumously awarded the Independence Order (Istiglal Ordeni).
Ismayil Shykhly (Azerbaijani: İsmayıl Şıxlı; March 22, 1919 – July 26, 1995) also known by his birth name Ismayil Shikhlinsky Gahraman oglu (Azerbaijani: İsmayıl Şıxlınski Qəhrəman oğlu), was Azerbaijani writer. Shykhly had served as the deputy in Supreme Soviet of Azerbaijan SSR and has been awarded with Sheref, Red Banner of Labor and Shohrat orders for his contributions to Soviet and Azerbaijani literature.
Togrul Farman oglu Narimanbekov (Azerbaijani: Toğrul Fərman oğlu Nərimanbəyov, Russian: Тогрул Нариманбеков; 7 August 1930 – 2 June 2013) was one of the prominent modern Azerbaijani artists. He was the laureate of the USSR State Prize (1980) and People's Artist of Azerbaijan (1967). He lived in Paris and had a French citizenship until his death.
Rasim Ojagov (Azerbaijani: Rasim Ocaqov; 22 November 1933, Shaki, Azerbaijani SSR – 11 July 2006, Baku, Azerbaijan) -Azerbaijani film director and camera operator, Honoured Art Worker of Chechen-Ingush ASSR (1964), People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR (1982), laureate of the State Prize of the Azerbaijan SSR.
