Background Information

Due to the pandemic lockdown, many Lebanese people find themselves confined to their homes for most of the day. This situation poses a challenge for parents with young children, as they must constantly entertain them, as children are accustomed to playing outside or with others. However, parents also need time for themselves and their work, making it difficult to meet their children's entertainment needs during the lockdown.
According to the New York Post, parents reported that children between the ages of 6 and 8 have the most meltdowns, making them more challenging to handle. To address this issue, an app called PLAYFLY is available for download on the app store. Designed specifically for parents with children in the 6-8 age range, this app provides a directory of arts and crafts activities that can be done using everyday household objects. PLAYFLY offers both Arabic and English language options, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of users. With PLAYFLY, parents no longer need to worry about keeping their kids entertained. The app is filled with easy and engaging ideas that can be implemented at home.

Poster Overview

The three posters I designed to promote this app creatively capture the essence lockdown using house imagery, drawing inspiration from children's drawings. Through clever design choices, these posters visually convey the concept of being confined at home. Additionally, playful phrases like "Simon says give your parents a break" utilize wordplay based on popular games that children are likely familiar with, adding an element of fun and relatability to the messaging. These posters serve as engaging marketing materials that effectively communicate the app's purpose and appeal to both children and parents alike.
