This is a project that I did during summer 2013 for my final year of university. The brief was called 'I READ THE NEWS TODAY', a brief which asked us to begin to gain an interest in the news. We were tasked with collecting and collating stories that resonated with us or that we felt strongly about.
The stories I became heavily interested in were the recent NSA/GCHQ leak and subsequent controversy published and broadcast by mainly The Guardian and The New York Times. My publication, which began life as a first-hand account of my views, quickly turned into a collection of the main articles that I tracked over the 3 month period. I pulled them all together so that others who were/are interested and/or intrigued by the leaks can gather a more formative picture of the whole story than the occasional piece they may come across.
I printed my piece using Newspaper Club.
